1. Introduction
The Aurora Masterplan with Andy Keen is a personalised advisory service designed to help individuals plan and maximise their chances of seeing the Northern Lights.
This service provides expert guidance, itinerary planning, and strategic advice, but it does not guarantee Aurora sightings or take responsibility for third-party services.
Important Note: This is an advisory session, not a guided tour. Andy Keen will provide expert recommendations to help you plan your Northern Lights experience, but he will not be accompanying you during your travels.
By booking this service, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
2. Service Scope & Limitations
2.1 What This Service Includes:
- ✅ A 2-hour personalised advisory session via Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp audio/video, or email consultation. To ensure the best possible experience, a maximum of two people may join live sessions. This allows for a focused, high-quality consultation where your questions can be answered in detail without distractions. If you’re travelling as a pair, this ensures both of you receive tailored advice and can plan effectively together.
- ✅ Advice on the best locations and times to see the Northern Lights, based on Andy Keen’s extensive experience of living, working, and guiding in the Arctic regions.
- ✅ Custom itinerary planning tailored to individual preferences and travel goals.
- ✅ Self-drive guidance for those planning to drive in Arctic conditions, including key safety considerations.
- ✅ Alternative travel recommendations for those who prefer not to drive.
- ✅ Money-saving strategies to help maximise the experience while avoiding unnecessary costs.
2.2 What This Service Does NOT Include:
- ❌ A guarantee of Northern Lights sightings (Auroras are a natural phenomenon and can never be guaranteed).
- ❌ The booking of flights, accommodation, or activities—this service provides recommendations, but bookings must be made by the client.
- ❌ Responsibility for weather conditions, road closures, or unforeseen travel disruptions.
- ❌ Any form of transportation, tour operation, or on-the-ground guiding services.
- ❌ Liability for injury, travel mishaps, or costs incurred from following recommendations.
3. Aurora Visibility Disclaimer
The Northern Lights depend on solar activity, geomagnetic conditions, and local weather. While I provide expert guidance on how to improve your chances, I cannot control cloud cover, solar wind conditions, or geomagnetic activity.
By booking this service, you acknowledge that sightings are never guaranteed, even with optimal planning.
4. Self-Drive Advisory Disclaimer
For clients opting for self-drive itineraries, I provide expert recommendations on routes, vehicle types, and Arctic driving conditions. However, I am not responsible for the safety, condition, or operation of any vehicle.
Clients must:
- ✔ Ensure they are legally licensed to drive in the destination country.
- ✔ Comply with local driving laws and safety regulations.
- ✔ Verify that they have suitable insurance coverage for Arctic conditions.
- ✔ Accept full responsibility for their own safety and vehicle hire decisions.
By booking this service, you acknowledge that Arctic driving carries inherent risks, including icy roads, snowstorms, and extreme weather. The decision to drive is entirely at your own risk.
5. Accommodation & Activity Provider Disclaimer
As part of this service, I may recommend accommodation providers, activity operators, or local services based on my experience and expertise.
However:
- ✔ These are personal recommendations, not endorsements or guarantees of service quality.
- ✔ I am not affiliated with any third-party providers and do not receive commissions.
- ✔ Clients must conduct their own due diligence regarding availability, pricing, cancellation policies, and service quality.
- ✔ I am not responsible for any issues, cancellations, or disputes arising from third-party bookings.
6. Booking, Payment & Cancellation Policy
6.1 Booking & Payment
- ✔ The advisory session fee is £175 for a 2-hour session.
- ✔ Full payment is required at the time of booking.
- ✔ Payments are non-refundable except under specific cancellation conditions (see below).
6.2 Cancellations & Refunds
- ✔ Cancellations made more than 7 days before the scheduled session will receive a 50% refund.
- ✔ Cancellations made within 7 days of the session are non-refundable.
- ✔ If I am unable to deliver the advisory session due to unforeseen circumstances, I will offer a full refund or reschedule at no extra cost.
7. Liability Waiver
By booking this service, you acknowledge and agree that:
- ✔ I am not liable for any costs, losses, injuries, or damages resulting from travel plans, weather conditions, road accidents, or any third-party services used.
- ✔ Any decision to drive, book accommodation, or partake in activities is made at your own risk.
- ✔ The information provided is advisory only, and I am not responsible for external factors affecting your trip.
8. Privacy Policy
I respect your privacy and will never share your personal details with third parties. All information discussed in the advisory session remains strictly confidential.
